Softeon Fulfill 2024 is officially in the books! Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Westin Washington Dulles Airport in Herndon, Virginia. For those who couldn’t attend in person, here’s a look at how our attendees were empowered to accomplish limitless goals during our event.
Day 1: A Warm Welcome
The event kicked off the evening of October 7 with a lively outdoor welcome reception, complete with live music, appetizers, and drinks. It was a pleasure to reconnect with customers and partners and give them a sneak peek of the insightful sessions and presentations designed to address their warehouse management needs.
Day 2: Insightful Sessions and Keynote Highlights
The first full day of sessions began with a warm introduction from Softeon’s leadership team, including CEO Jim Hoefflin and CRO Patrick Maley, who emphasized the importance of focus.

The leadership team shared a comprehensive update on Softeon’s achievements, covering:

- Company values
- Standard release cycles
- Recently launched customer advisory board
- Initiative to add seven support resources in North American time zones
Next, Mark Fralik, CTO, took the stage to highlight some of the ways Softeon is approaching enablement by previewing Softeon’s Elastic Communicator and Externalized Services Framework.
- Elastic Communicator – Enhances flexibility and enables quick development without altering the core product.
- Externalized Services Framework – Speeds up custom WMS actions without modifying the existing WMS.
After the welcome from Softeon’s leaders, Nick Jankel delivered the keynote speech, “Great Decision-Making in Complexity.” Jankel, a speaker, founder, and pioneer in the leadership space for 25+ years, provided multiple frameworks to help people thrive in complexity, unlock digital innovation & become truly transformational – extremely valuable information for a crowd living in a constantly evolving industry.
Product Roadmap and Breakout Sessions
Softeon’s VP of Product Development and Professional Services, Dibyendu Ghosh, and VP of Product Management, Suresh Bhaskaran, gave an in-depth look at Softeon’s product roadmap, highlighting key features from the latest releases (24.1 and 24.2) and what’s coming next. Key updates from release 24.2 include:
- A new customer portal
- Features tailored for healthcare customers
- EasyPost integration
- Enhanced dashboard configuration for WES 2.0
Moving to the afternoon, attendees took advantage of the Solution Center where they had the opportunity to explore our solutions deeper and ask questions in a 1-1 setting with Softeon’s experts. Next, they had the choice of attending two of four breakout sessions. The sessions covered:
- 3PLS: Increase Speed, Increase Revenue – The keys to 3PL strategy and how Softeon increases onboarding speed
- Success with Extensibility and Integration – Deeper look at Softeon’s enablement tools and the importance of embracing streaming integrations
- Shipping Simplified: Real-World Strategies for Cost-Effective Deliveries with EasyPost – How to tackle today’s shipping challenges by adopting sustainable shipping practices
- Efficiency Through WMS Training and Certification (Koncepts2Solutions) – How E-Learning is changing the game for WMS training
The breakout sessions sparked valuable conversations and knowledge-sharing between both customers and partners in an intimate setting.
The day wrapped up with a panel of Softeon experts discussing how to mine data from your WMS, offering actionable insights to take advantage of your data, including creating strategies for harvesting, refining & distilling, and visualization.
After a full day of learning, attendees enjoyed our 25th anniversary celebration: “Party Like It’s 1999.” The evening was filled with great food, drinks, and a fantastic 90’s cover band that had everyone dancing the night away.
Day 3: Closing with a focus on empowering customers and partners
The final day began with more intimate breakout sessions, allowing our team to engage with customers one-on-one to better understand their unique challenges and how Softeon can help them achieve operational excellence.
Sessions included:
- AI in the Warehouse and How it Optimizes Operations, presented by S3 Group – Covered the areas of focus for AI in the warehouse and their realized values
- Building the Future of Warehousing: A Synergized Ecosystem of Technology, Trust, and Innovation, presented by Tech Mahindra – Detailed Tech Mahindra and Softeon’s partnership and how they saved a global logistics leader $2M in annual savings
The second round of breakout sessions, led by Softeon, featured an introduction to our Distributed Order Management system and tips for engaging with Softeon Support.
The event’s closing session featured an engaging customer panel, moderated by CRO, Patrick Maley, with industry leaders Joel Garcia, Senior Vice President, Spinnaker, Jared Hufford, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Do it Best, Chris Barnes, Vice President, Operations, Hensley Beverage, and Bill Swedenhjelm, Software Development Manager, Casey’s General Stores, who offered insights into how they are navigating today’s challenges, optimizing labor, harnessing data, and exploring the potential of AI to drive future success.
